Stapje for organisations that welcome newcomers
A free starting point for the people you help: their first steps in the right order, official Dutch letters explained, and deadlines that stay visible. No account needed.
What newcomers get
- Free guides, no app needed. BSN, DigiD, health insurance, school registration, Dutch letters, the voorlopige aanslag and CJIB fines. Each guide links to the official sources.
- A personal setup plan. Registration, BSN, DigiD, health insurance, GP and school, in the right order for their situation.
- Dutch letters, explained from a photo. Who sent it, what it means, what to do and by when. Deadlines and warnings stay visible on the free plan.
- In their language. The app works in English, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.
For partners: one month of Stapje Plus, free
Organisations that share Stapje with their new arrivals get a code for one free month of Stapje Plus. It works for new subscribers, is redeemed through Apple, and can be cancelled at any time in the iPhone settings. We can also set up a code just for your organisation, so you can see how many people used it.
How we handle data
Stapje has no accounts and no login. Letter photos and free-form questions are only sent for processing after the user gives consent in the app, and consent can be withdrawn at any time. Read the privacy policy.
What Stapje is not
Stapje is not a government service, a lawyer or a bank. It explains steps and letters in plain language and sends people to the official source: the gemeente, the IND, the Belastingdienst and government.nl.
